In Salt Lake City, at Miller Motorsport, Carlos Checa wins race one of SBK, pulling everyone after a few laps. Also in race two Spanish seems to interpret the same script, but misses and slides, opening the way to the great battle between Melandri, Rea and Davies. In the end Marco Melandri wins, the second success in two rounds for BMW. Biaggi finished third.
